$7,000, the same as 2024 and 2025. If you've been eligible since 2009 and never contributed, your total room is $109,000.
When does TFSA room start?+
In the year you turn 18 (or 2009, or the year you became a resident with a SIN, if later). You get room even before you open an account.
Do withdrawals give me room back?+
Yes, but only on 1 January of the next year. Re-depositing in the same year can cause an over-contribution.
What happens if I over-contribute?+
The CRA charges 1% a month on the highest excess amount in each month until you withdraw it.
